Description of structure, texture and anisotropy of rocks from the Kola Superdeep Borehole section.

The stress state of rocks in the area of the German continental deep hole drilling (Kontinentales Teifbohrprogramm der Bundesrepublik Deutscland – KTB) has been studied by the boundary elements method. A comparative analysis of the stress-strain state of rocks of the Kola Superdeep Borehole (SG-3) and German Continental Deep Hole (KTB) has been carried out.

On man-caused magnetization of rocks in the SG-3 geo-space

Petrophysical properties have been determined on the samples from the research borehole section (2516 m maximum depth) drilled near the Outokumpu polymetallic deposit (Finland). The acoustopolarization method was used for this purpose. It has been established that the section is composed of medium and strongly anisotropic rocks displaying a linear anisotropic absorption effect. In the middle part of the section one can observe sharp variations in palaeoforces direction, that are likely to be related to shift of individual rock plates in the process of palaeogeodynamics.

Variation of the physical rock properties in the Barents Sea region and its frame depending on age

In the research the necessity of petrophysical data use for solving inverse problems of geophysics has been shown. As an example the scheme of use of environmental physical parameters for the complex geophysical simulation of the deep structure of the largest alkaline massifs of the Kola region has been given. All stages of the research concerned with using physical characteristics of rocks have been considered.
